Guest Artist Programming 2025-2026
Open Call
Control Group Productions is actively seeking new works to include in our 2025-2026 Guest Artist Programming. Artists should be based in the Denver/Boulder Metro Area and have a desire to create a theatre-based work.
Please read the full open call linked above, and explore our website to gain a deeper understanding of our values before applying.
This program supports the creation of ambitious new performance works by local emerging artists of marginalized identities and backgrounds.
The central pillar of our Artist Services offerings, our Guest Artist Producing (GAP) Initiative provides 1-3 projects per year with wrap-around services including full financial resourcing, production management, and career mentorship, all within a unique project plan developed in dialogue with the GAP artist. Our process is designed to be robustly responsive to the needs of the project and the artists creating it.
Recent projects include:
Cheyanne (2024) by Cipriano Ortega: a new play offering an incisive depiction of gender, class, and race in the visual art world.
